While still considered a new technology, the use of lasers in dentistry is rapidlyincreasing in use and clinical success. The main question to ask is Why lasers in Dentistry There areseveral reasons with the most common ones listed as follows 1 new technology, cutting edge, 2effective therapy, 3 positive clinical results, 4 economic return, and 5 satisfaction dentist andpatient - such as minimal anesthesia, good coagulation, reduced pain, minimal swelling, and being ableto complete the treatment more rapidly. This paper will focus primarily on the use of lasers in thespecialty of periodontics.
