Initial, non-surgical endodontic treatment is associated with high healing rates and clinical success. The literature contains multiple studies examining outcomes of initial endodontic treatment. Multiple patient and treatment variables have been identified to affect outcomes. There is limited data evaluating endodontic outcomes of initial non-surgical root canal treatment in a military population. Objective This retrospective study evaluated the outcomes of initial endodontic treatment performed by Navy endodontists and endodontic residents. Secondary analysis of covariate factors was performed to determine the effect on endodontic outcomes.
