The goal of this award was identifying and manipulating novel topological phases. It has three main thrusts 1 Searching for new topological electronic phases and directly visualizing topological spin currents using time-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy 2 Measuring topological order through photo-induced currents and 3Probing new emergent phases at topologicalnon-topological materials interfaces using ultrafast non-linear spectroscopies. In this report, we describe some of the achievements under this award.
