Abstract:
We conducted this audit in response to a Congressional request concerning theU.S. Transportation Command USTRANSCOM Global Privately Owned VehicleContract GPC III HTC711-14-D-R025. O ur objective was to determine whetherUSTRANSCOM contracting personnel incorporated adequate controls to properlymonitor contractor performance and to address performance concerns on theGPC III. S ee Appendix A for t he scope a nd methodology a nd prior coveragerelated to the objective.During the audit, we also notified USTRANSCOM that the contractor was notstoring privately owned vehicles POVs1 for Service members a nd Federal c iviliansat the Chester Storage Facility, Chester, South Carolina in accordance with theterms of the contract. See Appendix C for additional information regardingUSTRANSCOMs notification to IAL and IALs response.
