Results obtained in the first year of this project have shown that 1 the presence of the tetraspanin CD81 in a syngeneic immunocompetent host had an effect on metastasis and on circulating tumor cells CTCs 2 the presence of CD81 in thetumor had an effect on primary tumor growth, on metastasis, and on CTCs in a syngeneic immunocompetent wild type host.
