Abstract:
The purpose of this project is to understand the inner ear cell type-specific changes induced by different types of noise and pre-conditioning interventions. To date, we have calibrated the noise exposures, and successfully completed tissue collection and processing for RNA-seq of baseline and noise treated samples at two different time points following noise exposure. We also established the sequencing conditions for all libraries and have been critically comparing the pre-conditioning treatments to carefully select the ones for further investigation.
