Abstract:
The DREStector concept should enable in situ assessment of the quantity and location of steel present or determination of the absence of steel in a target. When used in conjunction with field engineering skills, the device should assist the military engineer to rapidly identify andor prepare a structural concrete target for explosive demolition. Other potential applications might include use as a training aid for target recognition and construction engineering uses.
