This report covers the design of a high resolution, high intensity contact printer capable of producing duplicates onto free radical material in continuous rolls. It has been demonstrated that, by providing a highly efficient spectral radiation through a shaped slit, virtually 100 percent resolution retention of 154 lmm low contrast targets has been accomplished on free radical material running at 20 ftmin. The uniformity over the format is within 5 percent. The report describes, further, the design considerations made during the course of the program. Author
