Postulated relays for DCDRS and other communication systems range from fixed towers on the ground to synchronous satellites. Each contending system has its merits. This trade study attempts to define the most viable candidate systems, evaluate their relative utility, determine their operational feasibility, and show relative cost on a cost of ownership basis.
