Abstract:

This report documents the development and packaging of the electronics required to operate a high resolution 8-inch television display. The display developed under this program is to be used in military aircraft and ground vehicles as a display for low light television or infrared imagery. The input requirements are a composite video signal and DC power. The display is a reliable, lightweight, high resolution television monitor completely transistorized except for the CRT. Several unique circuits are incorporated into the display to enhance its capabilities. These include automatic gain control, selectable gamma correction, selectable bandwidth control, aperture correction and vertical spot wobble. Author
