The significance of this portion of the work to the Air Force is the advancement of arc-plasma spray APS techniques, materials, and material processing which will effect economic fabrication of many ceramic microwave devices. This study deals with material and process as related to planar microwave devices and included MgMn and LiTi new ceramic substrate. Studies were made of the rapid grain growth of APS ferrite during anneal and correlated with hysteresis properties. It is concluded that the enhanced remanence is due to improved microstructure in which non-magnetic phases or voids are distributed throughout the material and not collected at grain boundaries.
