Abstract:

Superconducting quantum detectors operable at temperatures above 12 K would be highly desirable for use with closed-cycle cryogenic refrigerators. The Dayem bridge form of device has inherent advantages of stability and reproducibility. Dayem bridges were made from thin films of NbN and Mo-Re alloy. The Mo-Re junctions exhibit Josephson phenomena up to 12.6 K. A cryo-refrigerator usable with junctions of this type was evaluated. Author
