Abstract:
It is shown that it is possible to extend the applicability of a link such as the APX-72 without either a waveform or receiver modification. Coding techniques are devices which make the APX-72 capable of providing a TDMA Time-Division Multiple-Access mode. Pulse-spacing codes of good cross- and auto-correlation are desired and chosen as the symbols of a redundant symbol error-correcting RS code. Messages in the TDMA mode are encoded as sequences of such symbol error-correcting codes. Author
