Abstract:
This report contains wind tunnel test data from part of a continuing series of tests on the effect of close coupled canards on the aerodynamic characteristics of a generalized fighterattack aircraft configuration. The data presented are the results of transonic tests on such canards mounted above a 50 deg leading edge sweep wing on a generalized body. The parameters investigated were canard planform, deflection angle and position and the effect of a horizontal tail on a canard configured aircraft. Author
