The purpose of these analytical and experimental efforts has been to achieve automatic identification and recognition of the two-dimensional images of three-dimensional aerospace vehicles using the slope-density recognition technique Parallel pattern-abstraction methods have been developed as the initial step in a longer range but promising alternate approach.
