The objective of this study is to develop composites of rubber and fibrous materials having properties useful for Army weapon applications that require resistance to petroleum-based oils, fuels and steam. Butadieneacrylonitrile, epichlorchydrin, silicone, urethane, and vinylbutadiene rubbers are investigated for use in the fabrication of packings and gaskets for weapon applications. Various physical properties of these rubber composites are presented. P.S.-PL
