Abstract:

New elastomers and rubber compounding ingredients were evaluated for potential use in army weapons applications. Silicone rubber is useful in the preparation of prototypes or for formed-in-place gaskets. Flexane Putter 95 proved to be a good repair material for damaged rubber coatings on M60 machine guns.
