Abstract:

This report presents the first quarterly progress report of the analytical and experimental study addressed to the problems associated with advanced, small, high-temperature-rise combustors. The objectives are To develop and validate an analytical design technique for high-temperature-rise, low-airflow combustors and related components and To define the limitations associated with these small combustors and related components and the effect of these limitations on the cycle and configuration of advanced-technology engines.
