Abstract:

The preparation of carboxyl-terminated polybutadiene CTPB by anionic polymerization was investigated. A number of one-pound samples of CTPB, containing various low molecular weight additives, were formulated for evaluation in propellant compositions. Procedures were developed for characterization of CTPB employing primarily gel permeation chromatography GPC.
