A number of power generation systems for use in the United States Air Force air mobility program in the 1975 to 1980 period are discussed and analyzed by a cost-effectiveness computer program. Five systems were selected for evaluation diesel, fuel cell, simple cycle gas turbine, recuperated gas turbine, and nuclear power, and the diesel system is described in regard to cost-effectiveness.
