Abstract:

The report covers the investigation of Army user requirements for target paper and evaluation of currently available target papers. Additionally, laboratory-prepared target papers were evaluated in a limited investigation of groundwoodsulfate fiber content and additive formulations. Results from a questionnaire sent to thirty Army user interest locations indicated a need for a target paper durable under adverse weather conditions and standardized with respect to color and printing qualities.
