Abstract:
This study was addressed to the development of a practical engineering tool based on the stressstrength interference theory to be used for designing and predicting the reliability of nonferrous material parts subjected to fatigue loading. Fatigue data were gathered for 111 nonferrous materials which was converted to strength data to obtain the scatter of strength at a given life a computer program was used to determine the distribution of the data.
