Abstract:
This volume is divided into three major sections The first presents a summary of the previously reported switch configuration trade-offs that resulted in the selection of the recommended Mallard Switch configuration. This is followed by a discussion on the selection of the multiple-highway configuration and the trade-offs involved. The next section outlines the present state-of-the-art in component technology. Projections for the 1972 time-frame are also presented. The next part describes the design of the recommended Mallard Switch. A description of the associated software is also included.
