Abstract:

The author recollects first the distinction which he had established previously between the dynamics of gaseous mixtures with strong and weak couplings. The first case corresponds to the well known theory of diffusion. The second case corresponds to the two fluids type, which has a limited application, but is extended to the study of ionized gases at high electron temperatures. The author examines in particular the consequences of this new formation from the point of view of electric conductivity and Ohms law. He shows that in the case of an average relative velocity of electrons-ions, not to be neglected with respect to the speed of sound, Ohms law has no longer a linear characteristic and the conductivity increases as a function of this velocity.
