Experimental investigations were made to determine aerodynamic performance of high altitude air sampling probes. Three flowthrough-type probes and a probe with a liquid-nitrogen-cooled charcoal pump were tested at pressure altitudes from 160,000 to 260,000 ft in airflows ranging from Mach number 1.8 to 3.5.
