Abstract:
The objectives of this study were to determine how advanced computer and communications technology can be incorporated into improved Navy strategic command and control systems, to formulate a plan for achieving these improved systems that is operationally feasible and technically implementable through evolutionary processes during the 1970-1980 period, to identify the benefits achievable by adoption of the plan, and to describe the technological and operational means of implementing it. The specific objectives of this report were established after an analysis of major current operational deficiencies of the command and control systems identified during the study. Author
