Abstract:

In recent years considerable research has been directed toward developing wind measuring devices that eliminate the need for moving parts. This thesis proposes a method using amplitude modulated ultrasound to provide greater dynamic wind velocity measurement range and at the same time decrease the cost and complexity of the system.
