Tests were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the design modifications made to the pre-valve. The object was to determine pressure drop across the pre-valve, and flow torque on the butterfly shaft at various blade positions also to determine that the valve seal remains in place during all test flow rates using water as the flow media.
