Abstract:
The ANGYM-6 digital communication equipment test set is designed to test and evaluate the performance of digital transmission devices. The two major components constituting the test set are a generator, which produces a variety of test signals, and an analyzer, which determines the quality of the signals emitted from the equipment being tested. Each unit will weigh between 35 and 50 pounds and will operate on power from any 115- or 230-volt AC, single-phase, 50-, 60-, or 400- hertz source. The test set will be used by maintenance personnel in direct-support units and depot facilities to test such equipment as forward-area teletypewriter sets, distributor-transmitters, reperforators, teletypewriters, teleprinters, and digital data terminals.
