Abstract:
This report contains the results of an analytical study of the experimental environment ablative heat-shield materials undergo during laboratory heating conditions. Two digital computer programs were developed for calculating the thermal history and thermal stress history of small circular cylinders heated under a variety of laboratory techniques.
