Abstract:

The physical-chemical action of acridine orange pigment in aqueous solution was reexamined in an effort to discover the origin of the concentration effect of fluorescence and, with it, of the metachromatic fluorescent effect, particularly from the correlation between absorption and emission based on the concentration.
