Abstract:

The objective of the testing was to determine the booster system pressure losses using water as the flow medium to determine the sustainer system pressure losses using water as the flow medium to subject the E Series liquid oxygen ducting to high rate water outflow to proof load the missile ducting to 1.5 times the calculated operating load to subject the E Series liquid oxygen ducting to high pressure surges resulting from rapid valve closure using water as the test medium to determine the booster system pressure loss and component pressure losses using liquid oxygen as the test medium and to determine the sustainer system pressure loss and component pressure losses using liquid oxygen as the test medium.
