Abstract:

The reaction of urea and oxalic acid in aqueous solution is studied by the isomolar series method for density, viscosity, electrical conductivity, freezing-point depression of the solutions, and the apparent volume of the resulting precipitates. The results show that in the system under study the composition of the compounds in the solution and in the separated precipitates is the same, despite the fact that in solution this compound decomposes to a considerable degree into the original components.
