Abstract:

The purpose of this program was development of manufacturing processes for continuous high modulus 50 times 10 to the 6th power psi, graphite fibers. Feasibility of this goal had been demonstrated on a laboratory scale prior to this program. A pre-pilot plant and a pilot plant were designed, constructed and demonstrated. Author, modified-PL.
