Abstract:

The results of a literature search dealing with methods for estimating the damping-in-pitch parameter are presented. Numerous equations derived from various theories are reviewed and where possible comparison with experimental data is sought to verify the accuracy of each method. A comprehensive list of references is compiled on experimental and theoretical damping-in-pitch literature. Included in the form of a bibliography is a limited number of reports concerning the damping-in-roll and the damping-in-yaw parameters. Author
