Abstract:

This report is a compendium based on in-house and commercial literature on the following types of converters shaft to digital contact and noncontact, analog to digital excluding digital voltmeters, digital to analog, synchro to digital, digital to synchro, and voice to digital. Major functional, electrical, and physical characteristics of the converters are described. The data have been assembled and handled by machine methods in a format that permits additions, corrections and deletions to be made with a minimum of effort. Programs for selective retrieval are planned using combinations of characteristics provided from the data base now maintained on magnetic tape. Author
