Abstract:

The kinetics of ammonia substitution into tetrachloropalladate ion were studied by ultraviolet spectroscopy. Each pseudo-first-order rate constant was found to obey a two-term rate law. Activation parameters are calculated and the trans and cis effects are discussed.
