Abstract:
Chlorpromazine increases the severity of the intoxication in mice experimentally inoculated with plague toxin. Cortisone has but a very weak action on this harmful effect. On the other hand, chlorpromazine does not prevent the enhancement of virulence induced by cortisone in Pasteurella pestis infection. These findings show that the drugs should not be used in the treatment of human plague. Author
