Abstract:

Three subsystems of smoke generating system, Helicopter, XM52 were tested for flow rate of SGF2 fog oil under static condition and conditions simulating vibrations in a helicopter. Flow rate of oil was not affected by vibrations in the range of 0 to 500 cps. Most flow rates measured were in the range of 12 to 13 gpm. The established flow rate for mission reliability should be 11 to 15 gpm rather than 14 to 18 gpm. Author
