Abstract:
The shark attack deterrent device shark screen was tested against four species of sharks, three of which are known to be dangerous to man. From these data, it is concluded that blue and black bags, both having low reflectivity brightness, are the most promising as shark deterrents. Neither the blue nor the black bag was nosed, bumped, or bitten. In general, there was even some reluctance on the part of bull and lemon sharks to approach these bags closely. Author
