The phosphoglycomutase and pyruvatokinase activities of leucocytes were studied in a group of normal subjects between the ages of 20 and 65 years. The results are summarized and show that the phosphoglycomutase activity of the leucocytes as a whole gives an average value of 228 Uml of leucolysate diluted 110. An average value of 303 U was observed in the granulocytes and an average value of 126 U was found in the lymphocytes. The difference in activity between these two types of leucocytes was statistically significant P 0.01.
