Abstract:

A representative group of CW X-band diodes provided an average power level of 242 mW. Diodes for 18 GHz were fabricated but have not yet been able to operate to the 200 mW level. Wide-band tuning in excess of 2 GHz at X-band was achieved with a single mechanical control element and narrow-band tuning as great as 150 MHz with bias current. Author
