Abstract:

Calculations are presented for the description of seismic waves created by the reflection of a spherical shock wave from the surface of the earth. The earth is represented by a homogeneous medium, but the elastic constants vary with the frequency of each Fourier component of the incident pulse in order to reproduce measured dispersion data.
