Abstract:
In order to assure that the maximum possible amount of information is obtained in a photographic reentry measurement, the appropriate process of development must be applied. Due to the Eberhard effect, however, the result of development cannot be predicted from conventional Hurter-Driffield curves. When the image is small, as in the case of integrating cameras, it is shown that the dimension of exposed area must be added to the parameters of conventional Hurter-Driffield curves and the specification of the process of development based on this information for the measurement of point targets.
