Six firings were accomplished at pressure altitudes ranging from 98, 000 to 107,000 ft to evaluate fuel pump start transient performance utilizing lower than minimum engine model specification fuel pump inlet pressure as required on AS-503 and subsequent flights. Engine components were thermally conditioned to temperatures observed in the S-II interstageengine environment during the flight AS-501 countdown demonstration. The accumulated firing duration was 100.84 sec.
