Tests were conducted in the 16-ft transonic tunnel to determine the effects of Reynolds number variation on the aerodynamic characteristics of a 0. 0226-scale model of the C-5A aircraft with fixed and free transition. The authors report that Reynolds number variation from 2.1 to 4.2 million had little effect on the lift and pitching-moment coefficients and generally caused a decrease in drag coefficient.
