A facility has been developed to perform R.F. testing on radomes up to 2500 F. The quartz lamp radiant heating system was fabricated and tests demonstrated a heat flux of over 36 Btusq ftsec. Chrome-oxide coatings were tested and verified that the emissivity of test radomes could be increased enough to get approximately 10 higher test temperatures. Radomes up to 18 inches in diameter by 3 feet long may be tested at elevated temperatures for transmission losses, reflection coefficient, loss tangent, boresight error, and dielectric constnat at frequencies up to 25 Gc.
