Abstract:

This Technical Information Report describes the development and current status of collapsible self-supporting POL tanks of 1,250-, 2,500-, and 5,000-barrel approximately 50,000-, 100,000-, and 200,000-gallon capacity. The tanks are made of an elastomer-coated nylon and are to be used for temporary storage of POL in the field army area. Engineering-service tests of the 1,250-, 2,500-, and 5,000-barrel tanks will be completed in 1969 and type classification is expected to follow during the same year. Author
