Abstract:
In detecting the absolute electrical potential of a corroding metal or alloy, in contrast to relative potential, fluctuations in voltage were observed that can be related to the corrosion process, oxidation, or hydrogen evolution. Voltage fluctuations from corroding aluminum and magnesium have a greater frequency and amplitude than those from corroding iron and zinc. Author.
