Abstract:

Studies of body measurements as they affect physiological efficiency often include the interaction of structures within the body. In the military subject an exact knowledge of such internal physical functioning under sustained or unusual stress is frequently the essence of the study. X-Ray motion pictures are most effective aids in such studies. The object of this project in cineroentgenography was to develop successful equipment and a convenient technique for the making of X-Ray motion pictures. A relatively simple apparatus has been devised, and a flexible technique of using it evolved, which results in the production of good X-Ray motion pictures meeting standard professional requirements. It is feasible for Roentgenographers who familiarize themselves with up-to-date cineroentgenographic techniques to assemble for themselves x-ray motion picture equipment that will function satisfactorily for all usual cineroentgenographic purposes of record, diagnosis, or demonstration.
